I'm glad you responded. I'm trying to imagine the topology.

                       <o             !              o>
                      waveguide omni waveguide

                                       u
                                      > <
                                       n
                                     parabolae

What I have for my backbone so far is 12 wrt54gls I'm wanting to mount
outside. I have one gateway with a giant omni I mounted. (I have
several wave guides I can use. ) I was setting the backbone on channel 10
and I wanted to set up aps connected to each backbone node via lan cable
on channel 2.

I do have limited funds; so either we can use the default 'stummel'
antennae, our waveguide cantennas, homemade omnis, or cheap omnis. I do
have a bit of low loss lmr400 I can use. We've made some cables and have
more cables and the adaters for n-male and n-females. We also already
have all the rp-tnc>nmale adpaters that we need for all the routers.

We have freifunk and batmand 0.2 setup on the routers.

Suggestions are welcome. Is it unrealistic to plan on just using one
antenna of the wrt54gls? I thought if one antenna was connected and one
antenna was disconnected the diversity should take care of things. Of
course, I can try enabling and disabling things.

Well I have one gateway and twelve backbone routers to start with.
Suggestions?

Thank you for your time,

D Davis
