Berry,
 
try the following steps (based on windows)
 
1.) open a command prompt and type "ping -t -w 10 192.168.1.1 [Enter]
     => ping starts running
 
2.) open a second command prompt and type "tftp -i 192.168.1.1 PUT
Firmware.bin"
 
3.) unplug the power cable of the router
 
4.) take a small screwdriver and shortcut ping 16 and 17 (press it firmly
between the pins)
 
5.) plugin in the power cable while pin 16 & 17 is still short cutted
 
6.) wait in this "position" about 3 seconds
 
7.) remove the screwdriver from pin 16 & 17
 
8.) wait 2 seconds
 
9.) have a look at command prompt 1 => ping should be OK now
 
10.) press enter in command prompt 2 
 
11.) good luck ;-)

Yesterday evening I was unable to bring my bricked router back to live. I
short cutted the ping 16 and 17 several times, but I am still unable to ping
my router. But this is just a sidestep.

Question is: what makes dd-wrt run a WRT54GL with a Samsung flashrom? And
can we apply the same file sofware on Freifunk?

bitte melden ...
 
Eine spannende Frage wäre dann auf jeden Fall, wiso bspw.
DD-WRT auf dem SAMSUNG-Chip läuft, Freifunk-FW aber nicht ...

OK. More evidence that Freifunk software does work on a Intel flash ROM and
apparently not on a Samsung flash ROM. I anybody has the Freifunk software
running on a Samsung flash ROM, please report this.

What could be the difference? And how can we solve this issue?
