i don't remember exactly but i think, viz gets the metrics from the  
routingtable.
look at:
# FIBMetric ("flat", "correct", or "approx")
# Just use "flat", the others don't work very well

FIBMetric "flat"

in /etc/olsrd.conf and try changing it to "correct"
