Allerdings. Ist bei dir die nvram variable wifi_ifname gesetzt?
# nvram get wifi_ifname

Vielleicht auch noch interessant:
# nvram show | grep ifname

Und ip addr? (Hab da grad noch Optimierungspotenzial im Code entdeckt...)
# ip addr
