i was looking for something like the cortado plugin for a long time

RTP/ RTSP are transport protocolls , are these
protocols propietairy too ? <http://www.live555.com/>

I  know  that most codecs are licenced/ patented  but how about
a transport protocoll ? Is icecast using  another way ?
