Hi friends,

don't know if you have already heard about the very good news from
Dharamsala, India, to host the main WSFII (world summits on free
information infrastructures) event 2006. After our last international
meeting in London last year it took quite some time to locate a place
for the next major WSFII event 2006. Now we have a great one!

To those of you, who haven't heard about WSFII before: WSFII is an
ongoing international movement/process to build free information
infrastructures arround the globe. WSFII is kind of a self-organized
'open space' event with a strong focus on practical issues and building
a social network of FII activists arround the globe. We want to share
knowledge, tools, experience and questions arround FII of all kinds.
Many of us have their roots in a local free networks intiative.

To make WSFII Dharamsala 2006 a success, all it needs is that as many
cute people from arround the globe as possible come and join and bring
their knowledge and questions to our global knowledge picknick. So
please join us and spread the word. If you know other organisations or
individuals with a focus on building free information infrastructures -
please let them know! Also if you have contacts to filmmakers or other
press people who might be interested in such an event, please tell them!

If you see a chance to fundraise some money to pay for flights or even
get some more to pay for other peoples travelling costs, please let me
know!

Please join and help making WSFII Dharamsala the wifi-woodstock of the
century ;-). If you have any questions please join the WSFII
mailinglists and ask them there! Check out http://wsfii.org !

Thanks and hope to meet you in Dharamsala!
