Ah ne.. Da fehlt das Einspielen der Patches im Buildscript.

git -C openwrt am ../../build_patches/0040...

Kannst du dir im Commit 6129130103f36d4b95b713339d0df50c51524e6a
anschauen, wie das gemacht wird.

Außerdem sollten die Patches nicht plötzlich in einem neuen Ordner
auftauchen.
