Hello everyone,

tomorrow after 6pm Dr. Paul Gardner-Stephen will visit Chaos
Darmstadt, which might be interesting to the Freifunk community and to
the local Chaos folks.

Paul started the Serval Project [0], a mesh network project in
Australia. The Serval network was crucial in several disaster relief
operations, such as the Queensland floods in 2011, when mobile
communication networks were down.

In his spare time he works on building a modern, open-source 8-bit
computer, the MEGA65 [1]. Another of his interests is to have fully
open mobile phones, and it seems like he already has some progress in
this task.

I cannot be there when he visits, but I propose an informal
presentation of his projects and you can ask him stuff along the way
and exchange ideas/contacts/knowledge/etc.  I heard he is not fond of
powerpoint presentations, so it will probably be more like a relaxed
conversation with the attendees.
