A quick look into their images suggests that they modify GPL kernel
and userspace code and should maybe be obliged to provide modified
sources. Not sure if this is the case but I think iw and mac80211 as
well as ath9k are GPL? It looks like there are no sources around...

You can extract the image with binwalk -e <img> and unsquashfs...
